OUR STORY

Merit’s Home Center is a family-owned home improvement retailer in Klamath Falls, Oregon, operating since 1937. It began as a small retailer and service station known as Merit’s Service Center, with the slogan “service is our middle name”. Since then, it has evolved into a large regional retailer, offering a wide variety of appliance brands, as well as hot tubs and outdoor living. While the name has changed, the “service first” mentality has remained our core value.

There are a number of things that makes Merit’s stand apart, but there are 3 primary reasons Merit's has an advantage in the marketplace.

1. We service what we sell. Merit’s is the only independent retailer in the area with a service and parts department.
2. Selection and availability. Merit’s has the largest show floor with the widest variety of brands and models on display. With a 27,000 sq ft warehouse, Merit’s offers customers the chance to buy today and take it home today.
3. Expertise. Because Merit’s only sells and services appliance and outdoor, we are able to remain laser focused on our products and service.

An additional benefit to Merits Home Center is being a member of AVB BrandSource Group. This has opened up many channels to Merits, such as pricing that allows direct competition with ANY box store, no interest financing, access to better training and product knowledge, and much more.

Finally, Merits Home Center is a community minded organization. We believe in giving back, and have supported many local organizations, such as the Klamath Falls Gospel Mission, Relief Angels, Soroptimist International, local school and sports programs, and much more.
